Interesting turn of events

Well, the book cover I am designing for Vamplit has left me frustrated, so I backed off of it last night so I wouldn't do anymore damage, but instead I have came up with a great idea! I am writing a very short novel, sort of what Stephanie Meyer had done, and create my main male characters side of how he met up with my female main character, Candra. Sort of, his side of the story, letting readers know a little bit more about him and how he came into to play. I thought this would be a good..."appetizer" while they wait for the sequel to come out. Something to keep their interest going until then. It'll be simply titled "Kane".

So far, its going loads smoother than my artwork.

    This is a great idea, Sue! Putting out appetizers can be fun and allow your devotees to stay in your camp and not wander off. Besides, it will take some of the angst away from your artwork.

    I know you'll do a great job on my covers!

    I thought so too! I'm taking my time with the sequel, so why not give them...desert!

Countess Elizabeth Bathory

In my research I came across Countess Elizabeth Bathory and found this person to be truly a horrific person. Deemed a Vampire in the sense that she drank and bathed in the blood of her victims, but she herself was not a "true" vampire in that she didn't have fangs and couldn't go out in the sunlight, etc. Elizabeth became pregnant as the result of a brief affair with a peasant man in 1574. When her condition became evident, she was sequestereduntil the baby's birth, due to her engagement to Count Ferenc Nadasdy. They were married in May of 1575. Since Nadasdy was a soldier, he was frequently away for long periods of time. This left Bathory with the duties of managing the affairs of the Nadasdy family estate, Castle Sarvar. It was here that Elizabeth's career of evil truly began, with the disciplining of the large household staff, especially the young girls.
