FRIDAY FRIGHTS: Lady Anne (WARNING: ADULT CONTENT)

Mist from the hillside crept down lazily and blanketed the earth as if it was asleep and dew kissed the tops of those that lay dead.   A celebration had ensued and yet, in the merriment of it all, death found its way…still.
                                                                        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lady Anne had put the finishing touches to the well laid plans that were to be the event of the year at Hertfordshire.   Her mother, Countess Katarina had waited long for this day to arrive and now that it had come nothing would stop it.
“Phillip!  Phillip!”
“You called Madame?”  Bowing slightly in her presence.
“Yes.  I want you to make sure that everything outside is well prepared, that the gardens are pristine and the canopy over the main table is set up perfectly.  I also want the best linen and napkins, as well as the good china and silverware.  Oh  and fresh flowers adorning the guest tables.”
“Very good Madame.”  Bowing as he exited backwards.
I dreaded going to see my mother, but seeing how she had planned this event in my honor I should be the grateful daughter.  I knocked on her door.
“Ma ma?  How do you like this dress?”  I twirled ever so slowly so that she got the full affect.  It was ivory, with pink rosebuds at the bodice and lace everywhere.  I looked like a southern belle.
“Raine will be positively awe struck when he sees you!”  She beamed.
Raine was my fiancé’ and was the most sought after man in our country and I just happened to land him as mine.  He was tall, dark hair, smoldering eyes that drank you in with one look and a body that…that wouldn’t stop.  He was gorgeous, sexy all rolled into one.
I wanted to tell her that it wouldn’t be the dress that he’d be interested in, more like what’s underneath it, but mother would have a heart attack if I ever mentioned something of that sort to her.  To her, I was still a virgin and innocent.   That first night out with Raine killed that real fast and who could blame me!  Damn the man was like fine chocolate, waiting to be tasted and believe me, I tasted him thoroughly.
A chill ran up my spine just then and I shuddered happily.
“Are you catching a chill dear?”
“Oh, no, no…just excited is all.   Um, I think I’ll take a walk in the garden before the party starts.”
“Well, don’t get your dress dirty now will you?”
“Nope, I’ll be careful Ma ma.”  I kissed her cheek and scurried out fast.
The sun was out and the warmth bathed my skin deliciously.  I imagined Raines hands, exploring, touching and I had to moan.  I couldn’t wait to see him.
Suddenly the wind kicked up a notch and it felt a bit chilly.  I looked about the skies and saw that it had grayed some.  I had hoped for a sunny day, but it looked like that wasn’t going to happen.
“Shoot, it’s going to rain!  Of all the days it had to happen too!”  I was about to head back into the house, but as I turned around I came face to face with a stranger.
“Good morning, or should I say good afternoon?”  He bowed slightly and then looked straight into my eyes and held me there.  I-I couldn’t move, nor did I want to, his eyes were like deep pools, warm and inviting.
“Morning…” It was barely audible.
“I understand there is to be a party here today…I would like to come.  May I?”
It was as if I were frozen in limbo where all decisions and actions were impossible.  I nodded in response.
“Good, I shall see you then.  Adieu.”  He turned slowly and walked away, but it was like a dream.  He just simply faded in the distance.
Then like waking from a dream my eyes came into focus with what was around me and I had wondered if I just imagined him or if he had been real.  I started back to the house, but as I did I noticed how sunny it was.
People from all over came, some I knew others I didn’t only because they were my mother’s friends.  I just played the part and smiled as she introduced me.  Then when I thought I’d die of boredom I saw Raine and my heart leapt.    I couldn’t contain myself any longer and ran toward him.
“Raine you’ve finally come!” Wrapping my arms around his neck I hugged him tightly.
“My, my we are excited to see me!  You alright?”  His eyebrow raised quizzically.
“I’m fine, yes, but mother has been introducing me to every Tom, Dick and Harry and I’ve got to go someplace where it’s quiet.”
“Are these gentlemen replacements for me?”  The smile in his eyes contained a sensuous flame.
“What gentlemen?”  I was too busy trying to find a direction in which we both would be unseen and did not listen carefully to what he had actually said.
“This Tom, Dick and Harry.”  He waited to see if I was listening, which I wasn’t.
“Who’s Tom?”  I stopped and looked at him carefully.  “What are you on about?”
“Never mind, I can see you are much too pre-occupied to listen to me right now.”
“Oh God yes, I can’t stand it anymore.  There, let’s go that way!”  I pointed to a clearing where I knew for sure no one would suspect us and took hold of Raines hand.
As we walked I kept a watchful eye for those who would spot us, which no one did and I was pleased as pie.  I hadn’t gone this way on our property, which was vast, and so I thought it perfect!  No one would venture coming this way if they were to look for us.  It was well wooded with every kind of wild flower and tree you could imagine and hid us both well from view.  I found a small clearing that had a small wooden bench and sat down with Raine.
“Oh, finally peace!”
“That bad huh?  So now what, how long are we to stay here?  I mean, it is our party we really should be present.”  His hand gently stroked her arm.
“I know, but I can think of a few things we can do before we go back.”  I smiled seductively at him and kicked off my shoes.
“You do, do you?  May I make a few suggestions?”  He got down on his knees and lifted my skirt up.
His shock told me everything; I forgot to put on one key garment…my panties.
I settled back, closing my eyes and enjoyed the feel of his hands exploring as he made his way closer and closer.  He was quite the tease, as his fingers feather-touched me with tantalizing persuasion that I opened my legs wider yet.
“You are succulent, more so than ever.   It’ll be heaven to taste you.”  I pushed his head down, down to where I needed much attention and then…
“Oh yes…”
His tongue, warm, soft worked their magic rhythmically over my already swollen nub.
“No, no I want you…”
Without hesitating any longer he quickly undid his pants and pulled them down.  His swollen member was jutting out from his boxers and I couldn’t wait.  I motioned for them as well, smiling and watched as he then entered me with such force I dug my fingernails into his back.  It was all I could do to keep from screaming.  We both came within minutes and remained as such till the shuddering of our pleasure dimmed.
“That was quite the display you just gave.”
I quickly got myself together proper and noticed it was him, the man in my garden.
“Oh dare you!  How long were you there?”  My cheeks burned scarlet red.  I was too anger to be embarrassed.
“Doesn’t matter does it, what’s done is done and you did it so very well.”  Something about him made me feel ill at ease.
“You just overstepped your welcome.”  Raine lunged for him, but froze.  His hands rushed to his chest as blood came spurting out of his mouth.
“I don’t take lightly to rude people, especially those who take their liberties with my soul mate.”  His hand clutched tighter on Raines chest as he swiftly pulled out his heart.  Blood dripped from his palm as  he stood there with Raines heart in his palm, still beating.  Then, as if disgusted by it squeezed it till it was nothing but a mass of blood and tissue.
“I distaste these vile parts, they keep those who I deem prey alive, they shall all die!”  And threw what was once a heart to the ground, splattering its foulness over the ground.  The sound horrified me and seeing Raines body, lifeless in a pool of blood sickened me so that I began to retch.
“There, there my dear, he won’t harm you no more.  Come we have a party to attend too.”
I was in shock, I shook my head no and tried to escape, but he was too quick, for he had me in his arms, tight, too tight.  I couldn’t breathe, I wanted to scream so someone would hear me, but it was like he had a hold of my throat and was tightening his grip…slowly strangling me.
“You disappoint me my dear; here I thought you’d be excited to show me off.  I guess it’ll be my duty then to show you off.”
Then all went dark…
Horror Book Covers
Designing book covers is like giving birth, it can be a "pain" and sometimes no "labor" at all. There is a pleasure in the end result, when everything you put into it finally comes together and says, "THAT'S IT!" Not always does it come right away, but after many trials and errors (and I haven't had many of them)you find something that works and it unfolds in front of you. My most difficult cover was "Water Hazard" took me weeks only because the author couldn't make up his mind and when he did, he didn't quite like it and it needed to be tweaked a bit (more like ALOT), and when the cover was finally to his liking...he didn't use it! Now, of course, he wasn't an author from Vamplit, because all authors from Vamplit are awesome! Am I right?! I've never, ever had a problem with doing a cover for Vamplit, NEVER. In fact, I can usually spit out a cover in record time and have it turn out perfect usually the first
